Luckily, I don't think it is difficult to get, by day 500 - 750, I was up to 5000 renown. But when you gain some ground (not literally), then you're going to rely on renown. If you're going to survive pendor you're going to need to be the biggest bully, putting all of your points into leadership when you can is quite helpful early on as leadership gains 10 men instead of 5. If your father was a knight then you automatically gain 30 renown!įirst of all, you're going to need money, a lot of it! Luckily Pendor is full of enemies, Vanskerry raiders, deserter parties, Heretics, Snake Cult Followers, a smorgasbord of battles awaiting you! This option automatically opens up the Griffon Knights (we'll get to KHO's later) but will also make 3 factions and 1 of there kings hate you, but I'd say it's cooler to choose this option. Now the letter that changed your life is more of the "lore" decision, it would make your character a defined protagonist, you are a unique and special person to count yourself out from the other characters. P = Gives you "The Field Surgeon's Handbook" (+1 surgery whilst in inventory), quite good. L = D'shar bow, not very good, but a ok balanced bow, and a Scimitar, 30c. N = Yellow Coat of Plates, 55 body, very good, but 12 strength requirement.Ī = Barclay Plate and Chain, almost as good as Coat of Plates, 2 body armor under. Now for the letter that your father has died. N = Noble, M = Merchant, K = Knight, A = Adventure, L = Leader, R = Rough Figure, P = Physician. Who your father was is going to be keyed I am going to just give the important couples. This may get confusing as like I said, Father and Adventure are connected with almost all the choices. "You Received the message that your father has died" and "A Letter that Changed your Life Forever". Now our reason for leaving is the very important part. As such I am leaving the other options out as they're native. Who your father was and your reason for adventuring are intertwind. So Prophecy of Pendor has a very interesting backstory system, 2 paths have a big effect on your starting position, ignoring noble renown.
